Soho: the Dark Heart of London. A seething mass of sex shops and nightclubs populated by the seedy underbelly of society: the desperate, the weak and the unloved. Lurking undetected in this den of iniquity is an even greater evil: The Vampire. Jon Harker has had a bad day at work, but its about to get a lot worse. Recounted from the police station, this tragic love story is told to two police inspectors, DI Topperov and DI Nurmi.
Stumbling blindly into a nightclub Jon chances upon Venetia, a tired vampire who wishes to leave the night and step into the light. He takes her home much to the chagrin of her psychotic clan brethren. However back at Jons apartment, the meeting definitely proves to be love at first bite, sending Jon into a dream like reverie, with two vampiric beauties. Jons rude awakening however comes in the form of Headcase and Makepeace, two Nosferatu Hit men, who have come to tie up any loose ends. Taking him back to the Hellfire club he is granted an audience with the asthmatic Glad The Inhaler, or Gladys to his mates.
Gladys deems that Jon should be taken on the hunt, to see if he has the makings of a creature of the night. Whilst Headcase and Makepeace take John on the hunt, we witness a vampire couple in the throes of passion, unable to control their wild urges for the pleasures of the flesh.
Jon is led to a young lady of the night and forced to take her to a disused basement to satisfy the hit mens insane lust for blood, but he cannot bring himself to kill and instead ends up impaling her on his beef stake. Headcase takes umbrage to this whilst Makepeace takes care of the hooker, but Headcases unstable antics give Jon the perfect opportunity for escape.
Realizing Jon has failed the hunt, Venetia must prepare for her ending, and Gladys and his entourage gladly provide one before sending her into the harsh sunlight of the dawn. When Jon finishes his tale of woe, DI Topperov does not believe his story and goes to get a coffee. Meanwhile DI Nurmi takes a lunge over the desk and takes him to the dark side of the (police) force. DI Topperov returns and joins in, until Nurmi cops a packet off both of them. But not is all as it seems, as Nurmi has started to look a little off color...
